Beer Talk - Round Seven

ANNNDDD…. We’re back with another round of Beer Talk and it’s time to take me out to the ballgame!

Baseball season officially kicks off March 29th and I couldn’t be more excited. Personally, Baseball is my favorite sport and to me there’s not much I love more than sitting at a baseball field wearing my favorite team’s jersey, scarfing down a delicious hot dog, and savoring an ice cold beer or two!

Budweiser is kicking off Baseball season the only way they know how… Strong! Not only will the famous Budweiser Clydesdale’s once again majestically parade around the St. Louis Cardinal’s home, Busch Stadium, to tens of thousands of excited fans and baseball lovers but Budweiser will be celebrating the boys of summer with legendary players and legendary sports moments. If you ask me, one legendary player that needs to be celebrated is 2006 World Series MVP, David Eckstein, a player that never gave up and was, in my opinion, the scrappiest player in the league! Cheers to you, Mr. Eckstein! #22

Alright, alright, so maybe you’re not a Cardinals fan; I’ll let that slide. Kansas City Royals and Boulevard teamed up for a grand slam partnership to offer all of you the mouthwatering KC Pils! KC Pils is a Kansas City lager, with a real hop character, 100% malt, and totally unpasteurized. According to Boulevard, it’s the taste of tradition! Grab a 6 pack today or stop by your local pub for a pint or two! This brew truly hits it out of the park!

Now, some of you might be thinking… HEY! What about the Cubbies? Well folks, here you go. The 2016 World Series champs are a big crowd favorite around Des Moines. One reason being, we get the opportunity to see the talent grow up through the system, through the Iowa Cubs! I remember watching Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant swing for the fences during their time at Principal Park and thinking, “Wow! This is pretty neat! I bet they’ll be in the big leagues someday!” Well, clearly they made it to Wrigley and are still crushing it.  Oh and if you haven't enjoyed the view, free food, and beer in the Budweiser area at Principal park, I highly suggest it!

So whatever you’re team, just remember, beer and baseball… It’s the perfect combination!

One, two, three strikes… I’m out of here folks!

Cheers!
